Château de la Fléchère, Beaujolais Just 2 hours from Geneva, and set amongst rolling vineyards and the Tuscan-style landscape of northern Beaujolais, a hidden gem, Château de la Fléchère, is nestled. As you approach the wrought iron Victorian gates, the orange hue of the stone façade of the Chateau, coupled with the vibrant pink and magenta flowers lining the driveway, make for an enchanting entrance. A sultry June Friday afternoon gives it a Mediterranean feel. There are only a handful of rooms in the main Chateau; three decorated in a delightful Victorian style and three more suites that are more modern in their design. The rooms are in the beautifully converted outbuildings, and have exposed wooden beams, wooden floors and spacious bathrooms in light pastel shades. A fresh bouquet of white roses greets us upon arrival. Our host gives us a genuinely warm welcome, and her elegance and style pervades the Chateau and its lovely garden.
