Luigia Opens a Second Location…Who’s Ready for Pizza?
Hidden away on Rue Lachenal, near the Old Town, Luigia has a fast-growing reputation as one of the best pizzerias in town. Despite the previous history of this location as a garage, they have managed to make the restaurant feel modern and unique with its glass atrium and wooden floors. Luigia is one of the few restaurants in Geneva that genuinely has a “buzzy” feel, regardless of when you go! They have also managed to make the restaurant very family-friendly.
The food is simple Italian, but it is done very well and is packed with flavour. Their pizzas are where they really excel, and the Italica and Stromboli pizzas are two of our favourites. Their unique appetizer, Luigia Petalo, is a must-order for truffle-lovers! It’s hard to describe the Petalo because it is so unique, but we can guarantee it will quickly become a favourite!
Luigia is open 365 days a year (even Christmas!) but they don’t take reservations so it’s best to avoid peak hours, unless you like to queue. With Luigia’s popularity in Geneve centre, it’s not surprising that a second Luigia has opened in Petit-Saconnex on Chemin de la Tourelle. There are also rumours that there are even more to follow with a planned new Luigia in Nyon!
