Ice Hockey Crucial week for the Eagles as they try to consolidate their place at the top of the league. Away games at Davos and Fribourg followed by home game against Ambri Piotta at Vernets. Skiing Most of the ski resorts around Geneva open fully on December 22/23 – there is already an excellent base of over one metre and early season skiing should be superb with ideal conditions. Ice-Skating and Brunch in Parc des Bastions

Personally, November is definitely not my favorite time of the year as the days are becoming colder. However, there are still some outdoor activities you can do in town, like going for a long walk or putting your ice-skates on. The open-air ice-rink in Parc des Bastions is opening on Saturday! It’s quite a small one so it’s good for beginners or ideal if you have kids; it’s definitely a nice setting. Whether you wish to ice-skate or play hockey, Geneva offers several locations; Here is a list of places open on Sundays. (For the full week schedule please check the city of Geneva website) Patinoire de l’Europe: behind the commercial centre Planete Charmille – av de l’Europe 11  (small outdoor one) Open from 11am to 6pm. There is a variety of sports on offer in Geneva this week! Martial Arts: From November 9-18, The Martial Arts Fair will be at the Autumnal Fair (see Geneva Out and About from last week) Football: Geneva Servette v Sion – November 18, Stade de Geneve; 1.45pm Ice Hockey: It’s a fantastic season for the Eagles, the ice hockey is worth a visit even for the terrific atmosphere alone; On November 17, Genève-Servette against Kloten Flyers, Patinoire des Vernets, 7.45pm Volleyball: On November 18, head down to the Salle Omnisports d’ Henri — – Dunant from 3pm Skiing: November 17; Bourse aux skis 2012 de l’Association des parents d’élèves du Boccard, Sallanches 2nd hand ski gear for Adults and Kids at the Fair in Sallanches. The ski season is almost upon is. The forecast is mild and dry this week but it could change very quickly.
