1. L’Opera Usine in the banking district;
Popular spinning class and well designed space in the Banking quarter.
2. 12A in Paquis;
Architect designed industrial space with dark wood changing rooms, a relaxation jacuzzi and a 5 star hotel feel with fluffy towels.
These luxury choices tend to be expensive (almost 3000 CHF per year) but you can get discounts by opting for off peak membership and go in the mornings. Alternatively there is a new gym behind the Hotel Kempinski where you can pay per session.

1. Plaza Sport
Plaza Sport is a great place for classes. With over 70 classes a week including Zumba, Yoga and Body Sculpt you can vary your workout to suit your individual needs. Pool classes include Aqua Cardio, Aqua Boxing and Aqua Pilates however, the pool, complete with Jacuzzi, sauna and Hamman is open for general use throughout the day. Beauty treatments are available and if you’re feeling peckish there’s a restaurant for light bites and refreshments.

2. Holmes Place
Located on Rue de Rhone, Holmes Place is ideally situated for those working in the business centre of Geneva. With a wide range of facilities and services, Holmes Place offers individual and group nutrition coaching, personal training and group fitness. Yoga and crunch classes are held out on the terrace during the summer months for an alfresco workout. Custom-made, individual Jacuzzis offer relaxation, with a steam room and sauna. Healthy snacks are available in the restaurant.

The fitness room at the Balexert club is designed for members to train in optimum conditions using high-performance equipment developed by biomechanics and technique inspired sports medicine. If you’re a fitness fanatic with a family, The Little Gym caters for the younger generation. Their programmes are deemed to be ‘Serious fun’ which all sounds a bit ominous but delve deeper and you’ll find the courses use a three-dimensional learning approach. Physical activity, brain boosting exercises and life skill classes are designed to develop a healthy and well-rounded child. Programmes are available for children aged between 4 months to 12 years.
