Yummy Bagel Brunch!

Unfortunately Cafe de la Paix has just closed!

Watch this space if they re-open and check out our restaurant section for other ideas…

Café de la Paix is one of these places you find by chance, and that you immediately fall in love with! It’s a great and affordable restaurant in Plainpalais, and they make tasty dishes and always have a vegetarian option. You always feel welcome there. Every Tuesday, they host the Lindy Hop Party at 8:30 pm, and it’s a good way to have fun in the middle of the week, while also being a nice alternative to salsa dancing. Café de la Paix also has live music on Fridays, with bands of all kinds. Follow them on Facebook to get their updates. They also have an exhibition of paintings on the wall, so be sure to take a look! After all, their motto is Arts & Bagels!

And yes…in case you’re skeptical…the bagels are delicious! They have them everyday, of course, but my recommendation is to go there for Sunday brunch. Scrambled eggs, salads, and bircher muesli are also on the menu. It’s one of the best deals in town (Small brunch for 15 CHF and big one for 30 CHF – drinks included). Iif you’re lucky, maybe Marion will be on-hand to give you a massage! What better way to relax?

Afterwards, how about stopping by the market on Plaine de Plainpalais afterwards? Not only is it a good way to avoid queuing at the supermarket on Saturday afternoons, but you can also buy some very good, fresh products there.

Café de la Paix. Boulevard Carl-Vogt, 61. Brunch every Sunday from 11am-4pm. Reservations: 022.301.11.88.

Originally from France, I’ve been living abroad for 15 years... My background is in Education. I’ve been in Geneva for 6 years now and I'm loving it. At first I found it boring but then I found out that most of what it has to offer is hidden. As I love going out and exploring, this big village is just like a playground for me: I'm having tons of fun and I hope I can share it with you! I head up the Out and About and Lazy Sunday sections of Biskotti so if you're organizing an exciting event, be sure to invite me!
